Launched at this year's London Marathon, the Physicool Bandage is a reusable cooling product for the treatment of sport related injuries.
A unique stretchy bandage, it combines cooling with compression and works by drawing heat out by rapid evaporation, as opposed to similar products which work by driving cold in.
Physicool is claimed to give instant treatment for the inflammation and bruising of muscles, tendons and ligaments, together with a cooling effect which lasts for between 2-3 hours and continues for up to an hour after the bandage has been removed.
It can be used on ankles, elbows, knees and wrists, is cold to the touch with no need for refrigeration and can be worn next to clothing without damaging. Application is easy - even one handed.
Also available is Physicool 500ml Liquid Coolant, ideal for sports coaches, trainers, surgeries and A&E units and said to reduce temperature by seven degrees in 10 minutes. It contains enough product for up to eight recharges of the bandage.
